NFL Week 4 Predictions

The NFL standings are upside down and the 2018 season is beginning to look unpredictable.

The Browns have a better record then the Patriots, The Bears are in first place in a division with the Packers and Vikings while the Chiefs looks unstoppable.

Week three also had many surprises. The Buffalo Bills shocked the entire league by blowing out the Vikings. Minnesota and the league saw just how athletic Bills rookie quarterback Josh Allen.

Allen was not the only rookie to get his first win this past week. The Browns' Baker Mayfield led Cleveland back from a 14-point deficit to overtake the Jets and end the team's 19 game losing streak.

Even Cardinals' rookie QB Josh Rosen has been named the team's starter after an injury to Sam Bradford. Week three marked the changing of the guard for many teams but for some veteran quarterbacks showed life as well.

Ben Roethlisberger led the Pittsburgh Steelers to their first win of the season after a battle with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The 30-27 victory will hopefully kick start a team that been nothing but disappointment thus far.

BALTIMORE RAVENS vs. PITTSBURGH STEELERS

Week four marks the first match-up of heated division rivals, the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers.

The Ravens and the NFL's number one ranked defense sit in second place in the AFC North while Pittsburgh sits in last. Both teams have been widely predicted to reach the playoffs in 2018 but have stumbled out of the gate.

The Steelers are 1-1-1 on the season, including a tie to the Browns and a manhandling by the Chiefs. Not what is expected from a expected Super Bowl Contender. The offense has been fantastic, even without Le'Veon Bell, ranking second in the league, according to NFL.com. The defense has been Pittsburgh's downfall.

The Steelers' defense has allowed 30 points per game and on average give up 410 yards. There's a reason Pittsburgh is 1-1-1 and it is the defense. The defense has also racked up 432 yards in penalties meaning Pittsburgh is giving away free yards at will. The won't cut it against Baltimore this Sunday.

The Ravens are 2-1 as Baltimore's defense has dominated opponents so far this season. Only allowing 17 points and 273 yards per game ranks Baltimore at the top of the NFL. An elite defense combined with the fifth highest scoring offense in the league will be trouble for Pittsburgh. Joe Flacco and the rest of the Ravens' offense are not the flashiest but get the job done week in and week out. Week four will be no different.

Expect a smash mouth game of football between bitter rivals with pride on the line. Pittsburgh is last behind the Browns and does not want to dig themselves a hole any deeper while the Ravens are looking to move into first place.

Big Ben and Steelers offense will have a tough time moving the ball down the field but do come in with confidence after their first win of the season. The confidence should carry over into week four giving Pittsburgh new life in front of the home crowd. Unfortunately the defense will hinder any chance of a win.

Baltimore has 5-7 at Heinz Field since Joe Flacco became the starting quarterback in 2008. The record may not be pretty but it includes multiple playoff victories meaning Flacco can get the job done when necessary. When is it more necessary than week four with a chance to push Pittsburgh further down the ladder and climb up it at the same time?

This Sunday the Ravens will come to play. A top 10 scoring offense along with the number one defense in the NFL won't be stopped as Baltimore marches to victory.

Final Score: Ravens 24, Steelers 17
