Jaguars Wouldn't CB Jalen Ramsey for 5 First-Round Picks; Chiefs & Eagles Among Teams Interested

The Jacksonville Jaguars remain stubborn about trading Jalen Ramsey despite his adamancy of no longer playing for the team.

According to Adam Schefter, "The Jacksonville Jaguars are so entrenched in their non-trade stance with Jalen Ramsey that one source said they wouldn't trade their Pro Bowl cornerback at this time for 'five first-round picks."

The Jaguars have not received an offer including five first-round picks, that we know of, but the best-reported offer was from the Ravens. The offer, first reported by Eugene Frenette, consisted of a first and second-round pick along with tight end Hayden Hurst heading to Jacksonville for Ramsey.

Through three games this season, Ramsey has totaled 17 sacks and 1 forced fumble (via USA Today)

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora provided four potential teams "pushing for corner upgrades" that could target Ramsey. The Kansas City Chiefs, Philadelphia Eagles, Baltimore Ravens, and New Orleans Saints were the most notable.

Just like Bengals' receiver AJ Green, Ramsey has also been dealing with an injury that sidelined him during weeks four (also missed due to the birth of his second child) and five. Ramsey's injury has not been stated as a concern, by the Jaguars or possible trade partners, but medicals, as always, will be discussed during negotiations.

Acquiring Ramsey would add a significant improvement to any team's secondary, as he is coming off two consecutive pro bowl appearances and a 2017 All-Pro selection.

The teams La Canfora listed especially need Ramsey's talent with the Chiefs (19th), Saints (24th), Ravens (30th), and Eagles dead last against passing offenses this season.

While the Jaguars may want to hang on their disgruntled cornerback, it may be the best option as the team fell to 2-3 after a loss to the Panthers and now sits tied for third place in the division.
