Harbaugh Done in Baltimore? Cleveland Calling?

John Harbaugh's tenure in Baltimore is likely over after the 2018 season, according to CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora, with a "mutual parting of the ways" likely after the season.

Although he "is not in any jeopardy" of being fired before the end of the season, time has run out of the last remaining Harbaugh in the NFL.

John, unlike his brother Jim, lasted over a decade as a head coach in the NFL, even besting his brother in Super Bowl XLVII. Harbaugh is Baltimore's greatest head coach, having a record of 98-72 and securing only one losing season during his tenure.

Since 2008, Harbaugh has led the Ravens' to six playoff appearances, where if not for the Patriots and Steelers, Baltimore could have held the Lombardi Trophy more than once.

Harbaugh's expected departure signifies a changing of the guard in Baltimore. General manager Ozzie Newsome is set to be replaced Eric DeCosta, the change could bring a "possible roster overhaul" per La Canfora.

If Harbaugh is to be let go, he will have finished his Ravens' career as the franchise record holder for wins, winning percentage and playoff victories.

The rumors of Harbaugh being on the hot seat have led to speculation of him joining an AFC North rival's coaching staff.

The Cleveland Browns recently fired their head coach Hue Jackson after compiling a 3-36-1 record during a three and a half year stretch. Jackson, arguably, should have been fired after going 0-16 in 2017 but none the less, a 2-5-1 record did the trick this season.

A franchise desperate for winning season and hope for a brighter future should look no further than John Harbaugh. A proven winner, Harbaugh may not run the best offensive scheme but he won a Super Bowl with Joe Flacco. Need I say more?

Cleveland's last winning season came in 2007 when they went 10-6 and finished second in the AFC North. Cleveland's last playoff appearance came nearly two decades ago in 2002-the team knows how to lose.

The Browns, after 11 straight losing seasons, have unintentionally picked the right to enter the head coaching search. Harbaugh is a proven winner and does not mind taking over a job with a rookie quarterback and a defense with future stars as seen in Baltimore.

Harbaugh even spoke highly of Browns' rookie quarterback Baker Mayfield during a conference call with the Cleveland media.

“A very accurate passer. It looks like he has tremendous control of the offense," Harbaugh said of Mayfield. "Does not look like a rookie. Making a number of big plays, especially downfield with his feet and his eyes. Just all positive.”

The future is now in Cleveland and, for John Harbaugh, the Browns' coaching job best fits the former Super Bowl champion due to a desperate need in culture change and a winning season.

A mutual-parting of way in Baltimore should lead to a mutual-coming together in Cleveland.
