Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton is still under contract with the team but will not be wearing the team's uniforms this season. The Panthers have decided to move in a different direction and sign former New Orleans Saints QB, Teddy Bridgewater.

There have been many changed within the Panthers organization with the head coach, Ron Rivera, fired, linebacker Luke Kuechly retired, and tight end Greg Olsen released, what will be next for the 2015 NFL MVP quarterback Cam Newton?

After the Carolina Panthers said their goodbyes to Cam, many had speculations on where the QB will land next. Newton missed 14 games this past season due to a foot injury, and once returned, the former MVP didn’t look like the Cam Newton many knew him as. Back in 2015, Newton signed a five-year, $103 million contract extension with the panthers. Due to his poor performance this past season, owner David Tepper made his decision to cut ties with the QB.

Cam Newton took to Instagram following the cut with a picture followed by an interesting caption

Newton wrote the caption that translated to “I’m free and hungry. No pity party. Just work.” The question now is, Where will Newton fit best with next?

The Washington Redskins could be a possible fit for the quarterback. Their current quarterback, Dwayne Haskins, is the 15th overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft who has 76% career stat ratings with 7 touchdowns and 7 interceptions in the nine games he played. The former Ohio State QB could use a veteran QB like Newton to learn more about the game and become an even better player. According to The Action Network, the Washington Redskins have the best odds to land Cam at +125. The organization doesn’t see Haskins as being their face of the future, just yet.

With wide receiver Terry McLaurin and former New York Giants, Cody Latimer, there is potential for the QB to have promising action on offense. With the 8th pick in the draft this year, the redskins need to take advantage of drafting a stellar cornerback or safety to help with their offense. The ideal situation for the Redskins is to pick up Newton as their starting QB and follow it with drafting a CB, LT, WR, and S.

The Miami Dolphins are looking for a quarterback as their current one, Josh Rosen, didn’t seem to excel the way the organization expected. The former Arizona Cardinals QB was traded to Miami in exchange for Miamis No. 62 pick in the 2019 draft and a 2020 fifth-round pick. In the six games Rosen played, he completed 53.2% of his passes and had 1 touchdown. With the No. 5 overall pick in the draft, the Dolphins have a decision to make. They either bring in another rookie QB, Tua Tagovailoa or Justin Herbert or rather bring in Cam Newton as their starting QB. Newton could be a huge grab for the Dolphins as it could save them their fifth-round pick and land a star offensive tackle to add to their roster. In the 2018-19 season, the Dolphins finished 2nd in the AFC East with a record of 7-17. In the following season, the record dropped to 5-17 with many blowouts. With Cam's ability to run the football and his authority, the Dolphins could potentially have a much better season than the last two.

A National Insider for NFL Network and NFL.com, Ian Rapoport wrote on his social media what he believes the Dolphins should do with their fifth-round pick.

The Buffalo Bills could be a potential team Newton can stand out in. With their current quarterback being former UCLA player Josh Allen, the QB needs more help in developing his craft. Signing a quality quarterback like Newton could benefit Allen and his drive to play. Would Cam become a starting QB for the bills if picked up? No, but this could bring more competition for Allen to perfect his skills and leadership on the team.

The Bills have nine picks in the NFL draft with the 22nd overall pick this year. There will be plenty of offers for the Bills to pick up, but Good Morning Football's Kyle Brandt believes the Bills should capitalize on the free agency market to pick up key players. This expression works in Newton's favor as he is considered a free agent and has a lengthy record of great wins. If the Bills were to pick up free agents like Amari Cooper or even A.J Green as a star wide receiver, Newton could lead this team to many wins. With Tom Brady out of their conference, many believe that this is the year that the Buffalo Bills will go even further than just making the playoffs.
